Description

Celestron's NexStar Evolution line of telescopes is designed for passionate nocturnal observers, offering advanced features and functionalities.

The NexStar Evolution telescopes boast a completely redesigned alt-az assembly with improved motors for higher precision compared to the classic "NexStar" models. Both axes are equipped with worm gearboxes, further enhancing accuracy.

One of the notable features is the dual-axis encoder system with large, user-friendly knobs that enable manual rotation of the telescope without losing track of astronomical objects. This greatly reduces inaccuracies in object tracking and positioning.

One of the standout features of the NexStar Evolution series is the built-in lightweight lithium-ion battery. This efficient battery can operate for up to 10 hours, even in winter conditions, eliminating the need for external power sources and cumbersome cable setups. The telescopes also offer seamless compatibility with the Starsense AutoAlign system.

However, the most groundbreaking innovation in the latest version of the NexStar Evolution line is the wireless control capability through WiFi. Users can control the telescope wirelessly using their smartphones, utilizing Celestron's dedicated software. This feature-rich software provides a multimedia experience and offers realistic depictions of the night sky at any given time.

Another noteworthy feature is the red illuminated table for accessories. This table includes three glasses (1.25" and 2" eyepieces) and space for various small accessories. Interestingly, it can also be used with partially folded tripod legs, adding to its versatility.

Key Features of the Evolution Series:

Built-in WiFi: The telescopes do not require a traditional GoTo controller connected by cables. Instead, users can control the telescope wirelessly by installing the provided software on their smartphones or tablets.

Free Celestron software: The software offers a realistic portrayal of the sky, complete with advanced options. Users can predict the visibility of the Great Red Spot on Jupiter, determine moon transits, and track events such as occultations, conjunctions, risings, and settings of celestial objects. The software also provides information about interesting nebulae and features extensive descriptions accompanied by stunning photographs.

Long-life lithium-ion battery: The telescopes come with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides up to 10 hours of continuous operation. The battery is charged using an external charger.

Precision gears and motors: The NexStar Evolution series features precisely engineered gears and modified motors, ensuring high-precision guidance. Squeeze gears are utilized in both the azimuth and altitude axes, minimizing backlash and improving performance compared to the SE series.

SkyAlign: This feature simplifies telescope setup by utilizing three bright stars for alignment, eliminating the need for complex sky alignment procedures.

Included NexStar+ controller: Although full functionality is achieved through WiFi control, Celestron has also included their signature NexStar+ controller for users who prefer a traditional control method.

Improved tripod: The tripod components are made entirely of metal, significantly improving stability and load-bearing capacity. The tripod legs feature markers for easy leveling at different heights.

Quick folding and unfolding: The telescope components are designed for easy assembly and disassembly, utilizing large handles and screws for quick folding without the need for additional tools.

4 AUX ports: The telescopes come equipped with AUX ports for connecting additional devices to the Evolution mount. These ports are particularly useful for connecting the StarSense system, which enables automatic alignment.

Included power supply: The telescopes include a universal mains adapter that supports various supply voltages and plug types. The power supply parameters are 12V 2.1A.

Accessories table: The telescopes feature a convenient table for accessories, accommodating three 1.25" eyepieces, a 2" eyepiece, and other accessories. The table does not need to be removed when folding the tripod legs.
