Description

The Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope system boasts a 23.5 cm (9.25") diameter, providing a compact yet highly functional telescope. With its large aperture, this telescope offers excellent usability, allowing for effective observation of various celestial objects, including nebulae and planets within our solar system. The high contrast and resolution of the images produced by this telescope make it an ideal choice for astronomers.

Equipped with a T-Adapter and a T-Ring, the Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope system features a universal light gathering capability and a relatively large focal length. One notable advantage of this telescope is the ability to extend the focus beyond the tube, enabling the use of additional optical accessories such as binocular sockets, filter wheels, flip-mirror caps, and focal length reducers.

The telescope tube is mounted on the advanced Celestron Advanced VX equatorial mount. This mount incorporates elements from the CGEM model and the CG5 GT, along with new innovations. Notably, the high-speed motors of the VX mount are better suited to handle larger loads. The mount also offers the option to reduce periodic error by recording the characteristics of the periodic error correction (PPEC). For precise guidance, an autoguider with a typical ST-4 socket can be employed. Polar axis adjustment is made easy with a large, comfortable screw, similar to the CGEM assembly. The ergonomic design allows for quick and easy disassembly for transportation. The electronic heart of the system is the GoTo NexStar+ driver, an improved version known from previous models. Notably, the display is immune to low temperatures, and the new driver offers enhanced ergonomics and user-friendliness. The maximum payload capacity of the assembly is 13.5 kg (without counterweights).
