Notably, the high-speed motors of the VX mount are better suited to handle larger loads. The mount also offers the option to reduce periodic error by recording the characteristics of the periodic error correction (PPEC). For precise guidance, an autoguider with a typical ST-4 socket can be employed. Polar axis adjustment is made easy with a large, comfortable screw, similar to the CGEM assembly. The ergonomic design allows for quick and easy disassembly for transportation. The electronic heart of the system is the GoTo NexStar+ driver, an improved version known from previous models. Notably, the display is immune to low temperatures, and the new driver offers enhanced ergonomics and user-friendliness. The maximum payload capacity of the assembly is 13.5 kg (without counterweights).
