This microscope facilitates the observation of objects using both transmitted light (slides) and reflected light (non-transparent samples). The additional reflected light capability enables the examination of samples that do not require special preparation, such as plant materials, sand, minerals, or insects. This feature makes it easier for beginners, especially children, to explore the microscopic world for the first time.

For observations using reflected light, a 4x lens is recommended. In this viewing mode, sample preparation is usually unnecessary.
