Description

The Antlia OIII 3 nm Pro 31 mm filter is a specialized tool designed for astrophotography, specifically targeting emission nebulae. It efficiently transmits light at a wavelength of 500.7 nm emitted by ionized oxygen atoms, which is crucial for capturing the intricate details of these nebulae.

Like all Antlia products, this filter is meticulously crafted to ensure exceptional quality. It has undergone rigorous surface quality tests conducted in accordance with stringent military standards. Furthermore, with an impressively narrow half-band width of only 3 nm, the filter effectively eliminates undesirable components from sodium and mercury lamps, while allowing for high transmission of the OIII spectral line. This makes it an invaluable asset for astrophotographers seeking optimal results.

Please note that the OIII filter is not suitable for visual observations and should never be employed as a solar filter under any circumstances.

Key Features of the Antlia OIII 3 nm Pro 31 mm Filter:

Bandpass Filter: Maximizes transmission for radiation at a wavelength of 500.7 nm.

Compatibility: Designed for use with astrographs with a high light intensity of up to f/3, such as RASA or Hyperstar.

Ultra-Narrow Half-Width: The filter's transmitted band has a Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM) of only 3 nm, ensuring maximum contrast.

Exceptional Light Pollution Reduction: With an equivalent optical density (OD5), the filter efficiently blocks out light pollution, achieving a cutting-edge pollution reduction level of 99.999%.
