Description
The Antlia ALP-T HS 5 nm 2" is a professional astrophotographic filter designed to elevate your astrophotography experience. This filter specifically targets the Hα and OIII bands, allowing for the passage of light in these wavelengths. Whether you use a reflex camera (DSLR), a color camera, or a monochrome camera, this filter is compatible and can enhance your signal acquisition process. In the case of monochrome cameras, it even enables simultaneous exposure to two out of the three basic spectral lines, effectively speeding up the acquisition process.
The HS (High Speed) version of the Antlia ALP-T filters is specially adapted to work with astrographs that have high lumens. By slightly shifting the maxima of the transmission bands towards longer wavelengths compared to standard ALT-P filters, these filters offer exceptional performance with high-lumen astrographs.
One of the notable features of this filter is its narrow half-width of the transmission bands, measuring only 5 nm. When combined with the complete separation of the Hα and OIII bands, this characteristic results in a significant improvement in the signal-to-noise ratio. Ultimately, this improvement translates into enhanced sharpness and contrast in your astrophotographs. Moreover, the filter exhibits high optical efficiency for the passbands, accompanied by high optical density for the blocked range. This combination effectively eliminates the adverse effects of light pollution, allowing you to capture stunning images even in the vicinity of light-polluted areas such as large cities.
Please note that the Antlia ALP-T HS 5 nm 2" filter is not recommended for visual observation. It should never be used for solar observation.
