Description

The Antlia OIII 3 nm Pro 2 filter is a professional-grade tool designed specifically for astrophotography. It effectively transmits light at a wavelength of 500.7 nm, emitted by ionized oxygen atoms, making it an essential accessory for capturing emission nebulae.

This filter, like all other Antlia products, is meticulously crafted to the highest standards. Rigorous surface quality tests, conducted in accordance with stringent military standards, validate its exceptional build quality. Additionally, with an impressively narrow half-bandwidth of only 3 nm, this filter offers a unique combination of capabilities. It effectively eliminates unwanted components from sodium and mercury lamps while ensuring high transmission for the OIII spectral line—an essential element in astrophotography.

Important Note: The OIII filter is not suitable for visual observations and must never be used for observing the Sun.

Key Features of the Antlia OIII 3 nm Pro 2 Filter:

Bandpass Filter: Designed to transmit radiation at a maximum wavelength of 500.7 nm.

Compatibility: Compatible with astrographs that receive light at f/3, such as RASA or Hyperstar systems.

Exceptionally Narrow Bandwidth: The filter's half-width measures an impressive 3 nm, ensuring maximum contrast in captured images.

High Light Pollution Cut-Off Efficiency: With an equivalent optical density of OD5, the filter effectively blocks light pollution at a level of 99.999%.
