Description
The Askar 130PHQ is an exceptional astrograph designed to cater to both budding astrophotographers and seasoned professionals. Its optical characteristics make it the perfect choice for those taking their first steps in professional astrophotography, while also serving as a reliable optical tube for experienced and demanding users.
At the heart of this telescope lies a remarkable four-element apochromatic optics system with an air gap. The designers at Askar have opted for a solution commonly found in high-end apochromats – the use of two lenses made of glass with reduced dispersion (ED) – to ensure superior correction of chromatic aberrations. The Askar 130PHQ not only boasts excellent color reproduction but also exhibits minimal field curvature. This means that even without the need for an additional flattener, the image on the edge of the frame remains distortion-free and visually pleasing.
However, the capabilities of the Askar 130PHQ extend beyond astrophotography. With the attachment of an angle cap or glasses with a diameter of 1.25" and 2", this instrument enables users to conduct visual observations as well.
Aside from its impeccable optical performance, the Askar 130PHQ showcases high-quality and precision mechanical parts. Its sturdy focuser allows for the installation of even the heaviest astronomical cameras, while the CNC-machined mounting rings and Losmandy foot ensure complete stability of the tube.
