The Sky-Watcher EQ-5 GOTO Synscan Pro WiFi mount presents an affordable and user-friendly solution for individuals looking to enhance their telescope with a GoTo search and tracking system. This assembly offers a viable alternative to the heavy and expensive HEQ5 or EQ6 class mounts. The EQ5 SynScan WiFi equatorial mount incorporates similar features to the HEQ5/EQ6 models but is lighter and more portable, without compromising on performance or precision. With a significantly reduced mass compared to its larger counterparts, this mount is capable of supporting a wide range of instruments, from small refractors to large ED120, Mak180, or 8-inch Newton or Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes.
In its latest iteration, the SynScan handheld remote control has been replaced with a WiFi communication module, enabling users to control all mount functions through the SynScan smartphone application via a wireless network.
