With phased-array coatings on BaK-4 prisms and with optics coated with multilayer anti-reflection coatings, the Celestron Natue DX shows images that are bright, high-contrast and sharp, even in low light.
As an added bonus, it is waterproof and nitrogen-filled, so the optics won't evaporate in wet conditions. Full rubber coating protects the optics from shocks and provides a firm grip. Twist-up eyecups work smoothly and allow observation even with corrective glasses.
