Celestron's most popular series of observation scopes, the Ultima, are high-quality and economical variable magnification (zoom) scopes that come in three sizes and in straight and angle varieties. At the heart of each Ultima spotting scope is an achromatic lens with multilayer anti-reflection coatings, which provides a clear, crisp and sharp image with high contrast.

The eyepiece used in Celestron Ultima spotting scopes allows you to smoothly change the scope's magnification (zoom) over a wide range, so Ultima spotting scopes allow you to view both vast landscapes and focus on a specific element of it, such as animals, birds, architectural elements, or people.

Celestron Ultima straight spotting scopes do an excellent job of observing from a balcony or terrace, or during field observations, such as the other side of a lake. Angle scopes, on the other hand, can be used in virtually any application, and even turn them towards the sky, so you can watch the moon, planets or brighter objects such as nebulae and star clusters, especially the 100mm model, which collects a lot of light so it's best for typical nighttime observations. The Ultima 65, on the other hand, is a very compact optical instrument that you can take literally anywhere, such as in your backpack for a mountain or biking trip. The 80 objective telescopes are the most versatile, and are commonly used for wildlife or aircraft observation.
