State-of-the-art night vision technology meets outstanding wearing comfort - a first-class combo that can be individually customized according to individual wishes and needs.

The new DTNVS is lightweight and versatile. It can be hand-held as well as attached to a helmet or head mount. In addition, it can be individually adapted to the user via diopter adjustment, objective focus and eye relief adjustment (DTNVS Locking System).

The new binocular model owes its remarkably low weight and high stability to its fiber-reinforced polycarbonate body. Optionally, the unit can also be set to turn off automatically when folded up - thus not only saving energy, but also minimizing telltale stray light.

Other features include ACT's familiar individual ocular on/off switching, a battery and IR status indicator in the field of view, as well as a built-in IR LED for better close-range vision.

Binocular night vision devices offer the great advantage of true spatial vision, which provides significantly improved awareness when moving quickly in heterogeneous terrain or indoors.

LWT40D body:

The LWT40D Optics Package is the choice for best optical performance and a just barely 5% heavier than the LWT40 Optics package. The objective is the same as in the LWT40, a short and significantly lighter version of the PVS14 objective.

The eyepiece is the Ether eye piece which offers a significantly reduced weight, a bigger ocular diameter and a bigger eye box making it more comfortable to use. It has an adjustable diopter from +2 to -2, but other than conventional eye pieces the user can lock this setting via a locking. This avoids accidentally readjusting the diopter setting during use.

It is to be noted that the Ether eye piece due to its different dimension is incompatible with most standard accessories that screw into the PVS14 eye piece. It accepts the standard eye cup for PVS14 and therefor any accessories using the same attachment point.
