The binocular's fiber-reinforced polycarbonate body provides both remarkable lightweight and high stability. For energy efficiency and reduced stray light, the unit can be set to automatically power off when folded up.

LWT40D Body and Optics Package

The LWT40D Optics Package provides superior optical performance and is only slightly heavier (by about 5%) than the LWT40 Optics package. It features a shorter, lighter version of the PVS14 objective lens.

The Ether eyepiece significantly reduces weight while offering a larger ocular diameter and eye box for improved comfort. With a diopter adjustment range from +2 to -2, the eyepiece includes a locking mechanism to prevent accidental changes during use.

Note: The Ether eyepiece is incompatible with most accessories designed for the PVS14 eyepiece but accepts the standard eye cup for the PVS14, accommodating accessories using the same attachment point.
