What is a stage disk?

The Astrial company's stage disk comprises two components - the primary disk displaying the central image and the background disk setting the scene with elements like trees, mountains, telescopes, etc. When the rotation function of the Homestar planetarium is activated, the main disk rotates while the background disk remains static. This creates an immersive experience reminiscent of lounging on a beach amidst palm trees while gazing at the sky: the stars glide overhead while the palm trees stay fixed in place.
