The VX series of telescopes bridges the gap between affordability and quality, inheriting many advantages from the esteemed CT series. These VX instruments boast the same high-quality optics as their CT counterparts and are accompanied by a Zygo interferometer report.

Each model features a straight 50mm finder and a top-notch 2" focuser, complete with a 1.25" adapter. Thanks to their lightweight aluminum tube, VX telescopes easily adapt to various mounts. The precision-engineered, fan-cooled, 9-point suspension mirror cell ensures optimal support and cooling for the main mirror, maintaining its accuracy during extended observations.

A VX telescope promises some of the finest images achievable in a serious introductory telescope.

Mirror Cells: The importance of proper support for optics cannot be overstated. Poorly designed mirror cells can severely degrade image quality. To combat this, VX telescopes come equipped with a computer-optimized, anodized aluminum surface cell featuring a built-in cooling fan (12V DC). The 9-point, nylon66-tipped suspension system evenly distributes the mirror's load, promoting accuracy.

Focuser ACU-2S: This high-quality 2” (50.8mm) Crayford focuser ensures ultra-smooth operation, facilitating precise focusing for both visual observation and photography. Its 10:1 ratio micro adjustment allows for fine-tuning with eyepieces or cameras, making it ideal for DSLR and medium format CCD chips. With a simple twist of the knurled knob, the draw tube locks securely into position, ensuring sharp, flawless images.
