The VX series of telescopes inherits many advantages from the high-quality CT series while offering a more budget-friendly option. These VX instruments boast identical high-quality optics to the CT series and include a Zygo interferometer report.

Equipped with a straight 50mm finder and a quality 2" focuser (with a 1.25" adapter), all models feature an aluminum tube that makes mounting on mounts effortless due to its lightweight nature. The precision-engineered, fan-cooled, 9-point suspension mirror cell ensures optimal support and cooling for the main mirror, thus maintaining its accuracy while controlling weight distribution with nylon support points.

A VX telescope promises to deliver some of the best images possible in a serious introductory telescope.

Mirror Cells: Proper support for optics is crucial, as poorly designed mirror cells can degrade image quality significantly. To address this, VX telescopes come with a computer-optimized, anodized aluminum surface cell featuring a built-in cooling fan (12V DC). The 9-point, nylon66 tipped suspension system evenly distributes the mirror's load, ensuring accuracy.

Focuser ACU-2S: This high-quality 2” (50.8mm) Crayford focuser operates smoothly, offering precise focusing with its lower geared 10:1 ratio micro adjustment. It is suitable for small to medium-sized cameras, including DSLRs and medium format CCD chips, making it ideal for astrophotography. The knurled knob allows for secure locking of the draw tube in the chosen position, ensuring sharp, flawless images.
