Description

The MC 127/1500 Optics:

This telescope packs a punch in both compactness and power, perfect for observing planetary and deep sky objects. With its 127mm aperture Maksutov Cassegrain optics, it gathers approximately twice the light of a 90mm telescope. Despite its short 33cm length, it boasts a 1540mm focal length, allowing for high-contrast planetary views with remarkable detail. Deep-sky observations are also within reach, with a light-gathering ability equivalent to 329 times that of a dark-adapted eye with a 7mm exit pupil. Serving as a spotting scope for nature watching, it offers a cost-effective alternative, with numerous adaptations available for nature photography. Its integrated T-2 threads simplify SLR camera connection, enabling activities such as moon photography. Sharpness adjustments are effortless with a side knob that moves the primary mirror, providing ample focus area and adaptability. Its elegant black design adds to its aesthetic appeal, making it a standout piece in any setting.

The EQ3-2 Mount:

This mount, a refinement of the EQ-3 mount in a white design, offers a stable base for most medium-sized optics, ideal for exploring the night sky. Alignment with the Pole Star facilitates sighting and tracking of celestial objects using flexible slow-motion controls. Fine adjustments in both right ascension and declination are possible, with polar elevation easily set using provided screws. With options for retrofitted polar finders and electric motors, the EQ3-2 is suitable for both visual observing and introductory astrophotography. Optional add-ons such as motor kits or GoTo upgrades enable long exposure astrophotography with practice, producing stunning images of galaxies and nebulae.
