Introducing the latest innovation from iOptron, following the remarkable success of the CEM60: the all-new CEM70 mount! This new addition brings a host of advancements to the same size class.

Retaining the distinctive appearance and functionality of the renowned CEM mount series, the CEM70 stands for center-balanced equatorial mount. This design characteristic yields an exceptionally favorable ratio of load capacity to mount weight, reaching an impressive 2.3 for the CEM70. Essentially, this mount can effortlessly handle more than twice its own weight, making it suitable for both mobile setups and observatory installations.

Driven by stepper motors and a toothed belt drive system, the CEM70 ensures precise pointing accuracy in GoTo mode and, most importantly, maintains very precise tracking with a periodic error of less than +/- 3.5 arc seconds, all while operating quietly, as expected from iOptron mounts.

The CEM70 is offered in two versions:

Standard Version:

• Integrated iPolar camera replaces the traditional polar finder, facilitating convenient and precise alignment using a laptop.
• Stepper motors (1.8° with 128 microsteps) guarantee precise pointing and tracking.
• Go2Nova 8407 hand controller features a built-in heater to prevent condensation on the large display.
• 32-channel GPS ensures the computer controller always knows its location and the current date and time for GoTo initialization.
• Advanced cable management with connectivity options for accessories.
• Dual mount saddle accommodates both Vixen and Losmandy standard dovetail plates, ensuring secure placement even for heavy optics.
• Large rotary knobs for easy operation, even with gloves.
• Both versions support connection to an autoguider via ST-4 interface for precise tracking control during long-exposure imaging.

CEM70G Version:

• Includes integrated iGuider autoguider, eliminating the need for a separate solution.
• Offers built-in WLAN (WiFi) and a fast USB 3.0 interface for seamless communication with external computers, making it an extremely powerful tool for astrophotographers.
• Both versions of the CEM70 come with a robust transport case for easy transportation and storage.
