Drawing from the expertise gained in developing the CEM series, iOptron has skillfully eliminated unnecessary bulk, resulting in an exceptional 2.8 payload to mount weight ratio for the GEM45. Weighing a mere 15.8 lbs, this compact mount boasts the ability to precisely GOTO objects and track with up to 45 lbs of gear onboard.

Featuring an integrated electronic polar scope (iPolar), achieving polar alignment is effortless, even in situations where the pole star is obscured. The GEM45's quick-lock drive engagement system, equipped with large levers, ensures easy snap-in of drive gears, even when wearing gloves. Additionally, the advanced internal cable management system minimizes the risk of cable snags.

Introducing the patent-pending Universal Self-Centering Saddle (USCS), the GEM45 accommodates both Losmandy and Vixen style dovetail plates. Utilizing reliable stepper motor drive systems with low power consumption technology, the GEM45 delivers consistent performance.
