Drawing from the rich experiences garnered during the development of the CEM series, iOptron has meticulously streamlined the GEM45, shedding unnecessary bulk and achieving an astounding 2.8 payload to mount weight ratio. Weighing just 15.8 lbs, this compact powerhouse seamlessly executes precise GOTO commands and effortlessly tracks with up to 45 lbs of gear onboard.

Featuring an integrated electronic polar scope (iPolar), polar alignment becomes a breeze, even in scenarios where the pole star is obscured. The GEM45's quick-lock drive engagement system, adorned with large levers, ensures effortless snapping of drive gears into place, even when wearing gloves. With its advanced internal cable management system, the risk of cable snags is significantly minimized.

Introducing the patent-pending Universal Self-Centering Saddle (USCS), the GEM45 effortlessly accommodates both Losmandy and Vixen style dovetail plates. Bolstered by reliable stepper motor drive systems with low power consumption technology, the GEM45 guarantees consistent and reliable performance.

Boasting a vast 212,000+ object library with star identification, GPS, and optional Wi-Fi compatibility (requires iStarFi adapter), the GEM45 offers unparalleled functionality.

Please note: The GEM45 is available in two variants. The variant with "G" in the designation integrates the iGuider from iOptron into the mount head, eliminating the need for a separate autoguider solution. The variant without iGuider can be equipped with an external solution for tracking control, typically necessary for astrophotography with long exposure times.

Completing the ensemble is the iOptron LiteRoc tripod, a newly developed accessory designed to be as lightweight as possible yet as sturdy as necessary. With enhanced features such as sturdier extending legs and a larger locking lever, the LiteRoc tripod ensures stability while catering to the needs of mobile observers and astrophotographers.
