Originally, the Paramount ME mounts revolutionized remote observation for amateur astronomers by being the first affordable option equipped with cables looped through the RA axis and advanced remote control software.

The Paramount ME II Features:

Weighs 38 kilograms for the coordinate axes, yet supports telescopes with a total weight of up to 109 kilograms, depending on the device's length.

Features internal cabling through the polar axis, enhancing space for additional accessories.

Exhibits a maximum periodic error of 7 arcseconds (peak-to-peak), which can be further reduced with PEC correction via control software.

Delivers average positioning accuracy of 30 arc seconds, supported by Tpoint software.

Utilizes belt-driven axle drives to ensure both axes are completely backlash-free.

Allows for positioning and tracking up to three hours past the meridian (45°).

Includes a calibrated polar alignment adjustment device and internal cable routing to accommodate extra cables.

Designed without a friction clutch to maintain a permanent T-point model, yielding consistent, high-quality positioning accuracy better than 30 arcseconds.
