Also recognized as the Horsehead Nebula filter, the Lumicon 1.25-inch Hydrogen-Beta Filter selectively isolates the hydrogen-beta line of the spectrum (486nm) within a narrow pass-band of just 9nm, ensuring maximum contrast. This allows for the observation of extremely faint nebulous entities such as the Horsehead, Cocoon, and California Nebulae. In many instances, the Lumicon Hydrogen-Beta Filter is the sole means to observe these objects. Recommended for telescopes of 8 inches or larger.
