The USB filter wheel revolutionizes the functionality of this essential imaging tool with its array of innovative features. Notably, it stands out for its unique power setup, eliminating the need for a separate power supply when controlled via USB. Its high-performance DC gearmotor operates seamlessly on USB power alone, drawing less than 100mA. Alternatively, the wheel can be powered via serial input or a switched hand controller, both powered by a small dry battery.

Compact and lightweight, the wheel boasts an effortless filter swap system facilitated by thumbscrews, eliminating the need for tools. It offers versatility through various configurations:

Input threads are female and directed towards the telescope, while output threads are male and directed towards the camera.

Furthermore, the USB filter wheel offers compatibility with a range of threaded adaptors, including T2, SCT, M48, M54, M56, and M72. These adaptors can be easily interchanged by releasing three stainless screws with a small screwdriver and adjusting the adaptor flange to the desired angle before locking it down.
