High-Precision Laser Alignment
We meticulously position the laser along the exact optical path and align its beam parallel to the optical axis. Maintaining the laser beam's center along the optical path is crucial for accurate collimation. Otherwise, collimating with an off-axis laser beam can introduce astigmatism into your telescope.
Includes 45º Faceplate Viewer with Laser Engraved Targeting Grid
Our faceplate viewer provides a clear visual reference during collimation adjustment, displaying the returning laser beam. It allows you to align your primary mirror from the rear of the telescope, eliminating the need to repeatedly travel to the front during collimation. Understanding this importance, HOTECH has made the faceplate a standard feature in our SCA Laser Collimator. Additionally, the faceplate pattern is beautifully laser engraved for an excellent target view.

The extension crosshair assists in centering the returning laser when its center dot disappears into the laser exiting hole.
