Astrozap focusing caps come equipped with an integrated Bahtinov focusing wheel, offering a versatile solution compared to simple Hartman or Bahtinov masks. This multi-purpose tool allows for swift, 'shutter-like' operation: turn the wheel to the open position for focusing, then turn it again to the closed position to safeguard against dust or to capture dark frames with your CCD or DSLR camera.
The focusing wheel can be effortlessly swapped with an off-axis wheel for off-axis viewing or an off-axis solar filter wheel for solar observation on larger telescopes.
Operating the thumbscrew in the open or closed position requires no plastic plugs or additional tools.
Optional wheels designed for off-axis viewing and off-axis solar viewing are available for larger telescopes.
Constructed from lightweight aluminum and finished with a powder-coated texture in black, Astrozap focusing caps ensure durability and practicality.
