Astrozap focusing caps feature an integrated Bahtinov focusing wheel, offering versatility beyond standard Hartman or Bahtinov masks. This multi-functional tool allows for swift, 'shutter-like' operation: simply turn the wheel to the open position for focusing, and then rotate it again to the closed position to prevent dust ingress or to capture dark frames with your CCD or DSLR camera.
The focusing wheel is easily detachable and replaceable, allowing for customization with off-axis wheels for off-axis viewing or off-axis solar filter wheels for solar observation on larger telescopes. Operating the thumbscrew requires no additional tools—simply turn it to the open or closed position.
No plastic plugs are required for operation. Optional wheels designed for off-axis viewing and off-axis solar viewing are available for larger telescopes.
Crafted from lightweight aluminum and coated in a textured black finish, Astrozap focusing caps ensure durability and longevity.
