1. Three ports for versatile connectivity:

• Straight-through port (S52, M48, and T-2 on both sides) for full-frame cameras, spectrographs, or other instruments.
• Adjustable T-2 thread on top for eyepiece clamps, video modules (up to 32 mm image circle), or binoviewers.
• Bottom flange for the optional Off Axis Guider for Baader FlipMirror II (BFM-OAG) or an optional calibration lamp for quick spectrograph calibration.

2. Rotatable M48 connection rings made of hardened stainless steel on both sides, allowing for precise adjustment and rotation of accessories around the optical axis.

The BFM II is compatible with a wide range of adapters from the Baader Astro T-2 system, M48 system, and the UFC system (Universal Filter Changer).

General Functionality of the Baader FlipMirror II Star Diagonal:

The BFM II features a precise surface-mirrored flip mirror with multi-layer Al coating, functioning like a regular high-end star diagonal for visual observations and high-resolution imaging. It enables switching between straight and angled light paths for cameras or eyepieces. Additionally, it accommodates a calibration lamp for spectrographs or an Off-Axis-Guider pickoff-prism at the AUX-port on the bottom.
