Description

The Omegon Pro GUIDE 1200 Camera serves as a compact Autoguiding solution, perfectly suited for those taking their first steps into planetary, lunar, and even deep-sky astrophotography.

For Beginners in Planetary and Lunar Astrophotography:

This camera serves as the perfect entry point into the captivating world of solar system astrophotography. Capturing images of Jupiter, Saturn, or lunar craters mirroring the views through your eyepiece allows for sharing nightly astronomy experiences with friends and family. Alternatively, gather around the screen and witness the Moon and planets live together.

Deep-Sky Astrophotography:

Thanks to the modern CMOS chip's high sensitivity, imaging Nebulas and Galaxies has become considerably easier than in previous years. These faint objects, once challenging to capture, now reveal intricate details thanks to the sensor's high quantum efficiency and low read noise.

Autoguiding:

Locating a suitable guide star anywhere in the sky is effortless with this camera. Even fainter stars pose no issue, courtesy of the sensor's high sensitivity. Employ short exposure times and high guiding frequencies to rectify even minor tracking errors of your mount. With native compatibility with PHD2 and an inbuilt ST4 Guide-Port, this camera is your ideal companion for autoguiding.

Functional Shape:

Crafted from sturdy anodized aluminum, the camera's shape resembling a 1.25" eyepiece ensures compatibility with every telescope without imposing undue strain. Equipped with a C- & CS-Mount thread or, via an adapter, a regular 1.25" filter thread, direct attachment of small CCTV lenses or a wide range of astronomical filters is made possible.

Transmission:

A filter window safeguards the sensor chamber from dust and humidity. While the Omegon Pro color cameras feature an infrared-blocking filter for accurate color representation, the mono cameras boast an anti-reflection window transparent to a broad range of wavelengths, offering unrestricted control over your transmission curve.

Compatibility:

Compatible with a wide array of astrophotography programs via common interfaces like ASCOM and INDI, the Omegon Pro cameras are also native-compatible with growing software options such as PHD2 and N.I.N.A.
