Description

Experience the exceptional performance of the ALccd-QHY 695A, featuring the highly sensitive SONY ExView II CCD sensor ICX695 with an impressive quantum efficiency nearing 80%. With its six-megapixel capacity, this sensor delivers stunningly low-noise images, enhanced by the efficient two-stage Peltier cooling system, achieving a remarkable delta T of 45° to minimize thermal noise.

Despite the SONY ExView II CCD sensor's inherent capability for full frame/progressive scan readout without a mechanical shutter, the ALccd-QHY 695A offers the added advantage of an optional mechanical shutter. This feature facilitates automatic dark frame creation without needing to cover the telescope, while also serving other purposes such as mitigating poor guiding conditions by temporarily closing the shutter until stability is restored. The butterfly-shaped shutter design ensures minimal gradients during operation.

The integrated design of the ALccd-QHY 695A appeals to users seeking a comprehensive solution, combining the camera, filter wheel, and off-axis guider into one seamless system. The off-axis guider securely attaches directly to the camera housing, providing a stable and twist-proof connection while adding only 10mm to the overall dimensions of the camera/filter wheel assembly.

Furthermore, the integrated USB 2.0 hub offers convenient connectivity for additional accessories, including an electric focuser, guide camera, and mount, reducing cable clutter and potential connectivity issues. Operating on a 12V power supply with a secure screw-in connector, the camera system ensures reliable performance.

Expand your imaging capabilities with the optional filter wheel accommodating seven unmounted 36mm filters, enhancing versatility for various astronomical observations.
