• The Peltier cooling system is optimized for compact cameras, with a built-in fan drawing air through small holes in the front and an additional side fan for cooling in warmer weather.
• The chamber housing the CCD sensor is filled with argon to prevent moisture condensation, aided by argon's low thermal conductivity.
• An adjustable adapter plate on the camera's front allows sensor alignment parallel to the telescope focal plane.
• Starlight Xpress uses only high-quality grade 1 or better CCDs, ensuring no dead pixels or defective columns.
