It can be operated as a handheld unit or mounted on the provided head harness for hands-free use. What sets the PVS14-51 apart is its extended field of view, offering a wide 51° visual range, allowing users to scan more area without moving the device. Despite its compact size, weighing less than 10.6 ounces (300 grams), this monocular is packed with essential features, including manual gain control, an automatic bright light shut-off, and a built-in Infrared (IR) illuminator. The bright light shut-off ensures the high-quality photocathode tube remains protected in intense lighting conditions.
