Schmidt-Cassegrain Optics by Celestron

The Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes offer a compact, transportable design despite their long focal lengths. Light passes through an aspherically figured Schmidt corrector plate, is reflected by a spherical primary mirror, and directed to a secondary mirror. The secondary then reflects the light back through a central hole in the primary mirror into the focuser at the OTA's base. This closed system eliminates air turbulence, enhancing image quality, while also protecting the optics from dust. The multi-coated Schmidt plate ensures bright, high-contrast images free of stray light reflections.

These telescopes deliver excellent image quality with high contrast, making them ideal for planetary observation. The Schmidt-Cassegrain design is versatile, supporting both visual observation and astrophotography, with a wide range of optional accessories available. Its construction is suitable for terrestrial observing, including birdwatching, and its aperture ratio of f/10 facilitates astrophotography with ease.

NexStar SLT with SkyAlign Technology

The NexStar SLT series combines intelligent design with advanced SkyAlign technology for a user-friendly GoTo telescope. Featuring a multilingual menu and a large database of celestial objects, this system is designed for quick setup with no tools required. The fully assembled tripod, quick-release couplings, and one-arm fork mount allow assembly in minutes.

SkyAlign simplifies alignment by allowing users to select any three bright celestial objects, even without knowing their names. With the press of a button, the processor calculates the positions of all visible objects. Solar system alignment can even use the Sun as a reference (with a safe solar filter).
