Description

The MaxFR series is designed specifically for astrophotography with very fast telescopes, such as the Celestron RASA systems or Takahashi's Epsilon astrographs. These filters are optimized for high-speed optical systems, ensuring superior performance when capturing deep-sky objects.

This series includes narrowband filters for the three key emission lines in astrophotography: OIII, H-alpha, and SII. Each filter is available with a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 12nm or 6nm, offering flexibility to suit various imaging needs. By isolating specific wavelengths, these filters enhance contrast and detail in images of nebulae and galaxies while minimizing the effects of light pollution.

Applications and Features

The MaxFR filters are ideal for photographing nebulae and galaxies, thanks to their ability to isolate specific emission lines. They are particularly effective in reducing light pollution, making them suitable for use in urban or suburban environments. However, these filters are not intended for visual observation and are not useful for viewing twin stars, the Moon, or planets.

Part of the MaxFR line of line filters, these products are engineered to meet the demands of astrophotographers using fast telescopes. With durable aluminum mounts and precise MRF coatings, they ensure reliable performance for capturing high-quality deep-sky images.
