Description
The M Zero integrates four functionalities into a single design: an equatorial mount, a photographic mount that eliminates the need for meridian flipping, an altazimuth mount for visual observing, and a time-lapse platform for panoramic imaging. Despite its advanced capabilities, the mount is light and compact enough to fit in hand luggage.
- Weighing only 5.5 kg, it supports up to 10 kg of equipment (or up to 8 kg for photographic setups).
- Accommodates elongated telescopes like refractors.
- No meridian flip required—cross-meridian imaging is seamless.
- Time-lapse connection available for DSLR cameras.
- Simple computer calibration in both equatorial and altazimuth modes.
- Lightweight design makes it perfect for air travel.
The dual DEC system allows mounting a second telescope on the opposite side of the declination axis, increasing the total load capacity to 13 kg. This feature is often used for attaching telephoto lenses or guide scopes.
The M Zero uses a toothed belt drive system, eliminating reversing play and gear faults commonly found in other mounts. This design ensures pendulum errors develop more slowly and remain completely regular. The result is easy guiding with perfectly round stars, as linear gear faults are avoided entirely.
All electronic and hardware components are manufactured in Europe. The integrated GoTo system features high-precision motors with speeds ranging from 0.05x to 1000x. The STARGO interface includes multiple ports: an ST4 guiding port, three auxiliary ports for additional devices, a DSLR camera connection port, a USB port, and an adapter for motorized focusers. A simple hand control unit is included, and software updates can be downloaded via PC.
