Baader Phantom Group Coating™
The Hyperion series features Baader's proprietary Phantom Group coating™, a 7-layer broadband anti-reflection coating designed to maximize light transmission where the human eye is most sensitive at night (around 520 nm). These coatings are nearly colorless, ensuring minimal light loss and no scattered light interference. Unlike coatings that produce strong green reflections (indicative of lower-tech designs), Phantom Group coatings reflect almost no light in the critical spectral range between 500-550 nm.
