AstroSolar™ Silver Film is not suitable for telescopes or camera lenses, as it lacks the fine-optical properties required for high magnification. Instead, it is designed with durability in mind, featuring metal hard-coated layers on both sides of the film to enhance scratch resistance and resilience against rough handling. Its dual-side metallization process ensures safety even if the front surface suffers minor scratches. However, users must inspect solar viewers before use to ensure there are no visible defects.
