The Baader Stronghold Tangent Assembly is a high-precision mounting accessory developed by Baader Planetarium for securely attaching finder scopes, guide scopes, or heavy telephoto lenses to your main telescope. It ensures safe and stable mounting while allowing precise adjustments for accurate alignment. This makes it an ideal solution for astrophotographers and observers who require reliable and versatile equipment.

Adjustment Mechanism:
The Stronghold Tangent Assembly features four external adjustment screws. To align the mounted accessory (e.g., Baader Vario Finder, eyepiece, camera, spotting scope, or guide scope), loosen one screw and tighten the opposing screw. Once the desired alignment is achieved, all adjustment screws can be tightened to lock the assembly firmly in place.

For maximum rigidity, a stainless steel locking dowel is included. This dowel is stored in a holder on the azimuth blocks upon delivery. To lock the elevation or azimuth axes, insert the dowel into the clamping screw and turn it clockwise a few degrees. To unlock, loosen the locking knob slightly before making any further adjustments.
