Description

Comets are the adventurers of the sky, traveling from the depths of our solar system and occasionally gracing us with their presence. The 102/660 telescope allows you to marvel at these celestial wanderers and enjoy the beauty of the night sky. With fast optics and a wide field of view, this telescope is perfect for exploring large structures in space.

102/660 Optics: A Compact Telescope with Excellent Light Power
The 102mm aperture of this telescope enables you to observe not only the Moon and planets but also venture into the realm of deep-sky objects (DSOs). You can explore young star clusters like the Pleiades in detail or observe extended galactic nebulae.

With a focal length of just 660mm, this telescope provides a particularly wide field of view, making it ideal for observing expansive areas of the night sky. If you wish to focus on a specific object, simply switch to a different eyepiece to magnify up to 200x. The 102mm aperture also allows you to resolve planetary atmospheres and observe details such as Jupiter's cloud bands.

A Perfect Comet Finder
This telescope excels as a comet finder. Imagine gazing at a majestic comet as it becomes visible in the darkening sky. With the 102/660 telescope, you can clearly see the coma and much of the dust tail. This instrument is perfect for observing these celestial travelers from other regions of the Solar System, making you feel like a true comet researcher, much like Jean-Louis Pons, one of history's most famous comet discoverers.

This model now features the improved Hexafoc focuser with a free aperture of 65mm. For astrophotography, it can be retrofitted with a 1:10 reduction ratio fine focuser (available as an accessory) for precise focus adjustments.

Bresser EXOS-1 Mount
The EXOS-1 mount is designed for smaller optics and can support up to 7 kg without vibration or instability. It provides a stable platform for precise observations and can be optionally upgraded with a motor for the RA-axis to enhance tracking capabilities.

Included with the Mount:

  • Sturdy equatorial mount

  • Counterweight included

  • Robust steel tripod with three legs
