This camera, featuring the advanced SONY IMX290 CMOS color sensor, provides outstanding image quality with extremely short exposure times, even when used with simple telescope setups. It is a versatile tool that functions both as a high-performance imaging camera and an autoguider, making it suitable for planetary imaging and astrophotography.

The camera is ideal for capturing sharp planetary images and is also effective for photographing low-light deep-sky objects such as planetary nebulae.

The high light sensitivity of the camera is achieved through SONY's back-illuminated CMOS sensor, which offers up to 77% quantum efficiency at 533nm. This ensures bright, high-contrast photos with excellent luminous efficacy. The low noise level of this sensor generation ensures exceptional image clarity without requiring active cooling. With a native resolution of 1936 x 1096 pixels, the camera delivers detailed planetary images and excellent lunar overviews when paired with compatible telescopes.

ToupSky Software Features:
The included ToupSky software provides essential tools for image and video capture, as well as advanced features for post-processing and guider setup. Functions include live image display, exposure settings, white balance adjustment, dark noise reduction, stacking, time-lapse recording, and more. The software is beginner-friendly but also allows advanced users to manually adjust settings for professional results. Automatic settings enable quick and impressive results without prior experience.

Autoguiding Made Easy:
The camera connects directly to the ST-4 port on your telescope mount for fully automatic tracking control. This allows long exposure times of several minutes without star trails caused by mount synchronization fluctuations. An ST-4 connection cable is included for easy setup. The camera's high light sensitivity ensures that a suitable guide star is always available, even with short exposure times.

Note: Autoguider software is not included but is compatible with popular programs such as PHD Guiding, Guidedog, Metaguide, Guidemaster (freeware), or AstroArt and MaxIm DL (paid).
