Celestron CG-3 Mount:
The CG-3 parallactic mount is designed for telescopes weighing up to approximately 5 kg. It features setting circles on both axes for manual fine adjustments using flexible slow-motion controls. Unlike the smaller CG-2 mount, the CG-3 mount has equally robust axes with high-quality fine adjustments. The height-adjustable tripod is preassembled and features tubular steel legs (1.25" diameter), providing a stable and vibration-free platform for the telescope. An accessory tray is included to keep essential items within easy reach. For added convenience, a motor for automatic tracking can be retrofitted to the right ascension axis, and this motor is included in Astromaster MD models.
