These telescopes are true astrographs, delivering distortion-free, sharp images across the entire visual field. Unlike other systems that only correct coma, EdgeHD also eliminates field curvature.

Many optical systems marketed as astrographs produce sharp stars but on a curved image plane, leading to distortions when using cameras with larger sensors. This results in stars at the edges appearing as small rings or "doughnuts." EdgeHD telescopes correct both coma and field curvature, ensuring pinpoint star clarity even at the edges. This improvement significantly enhances resolution and magnitude limits compared to competitors.

The XLT multi-coating further boosts the performance of EdgeHD telescopes, making them stand out in their class.

Mechanical Enhancements:

• Mirror clamps: Secure the primary mirror without stressing optical components, ensuring stability during long exposures.

• Air vents: Located behind the primary mirror, these allow rapid cooling while preventing dust entry with an integrated filter system.

CGX-L Mount: Designed for Larger Payloads

The CGX-L mount is a robust upgrade to Celestron's CGX GoTo mount, designed for heavier payloads. Its load capacity has been increased from 25 kg to 34 kg, making it suitable for larger OTAs and photographic equipment. Key features include:
