Prioritize intelligence over brute force when combating dew. These advanced controls are designed to extend battery life by optimizing energy usage. They collect and analyze real-time data to gently heat your lens, preventing dew formation without wasting energy.

This system is ideal for use with heated dew-prevention rings made for Celestron SC telescopes, as these rings include a built-in thermistor (temperature sensor) that monitors the temperature of your Celestron SC, EdgeHD, or RASA Schmidt plate. Heated rings from other manufacturers are also compatible; however, you will need a temperature probe from the list of recommended accessories in such cases.

Intelligent Controls: The system is powered by a sophisticated microprocessor that gathers data from sensors, processes it, and automatically adjusts the heating element. An integrated environmental sensor tracks ambient temperature and humidity, while temperature probes monitor the heating element's temperature for precise control.

The dew protection control system can also operate as a stand-alone accessory. If you prefer manual adjustments after reviewing the control unit's data, you can connect it to your Celestron telescope's hand controller or PC. It is compatible with NexStar+ or StarSense hand controllers (with the latest firmware) and Celestron CPWI telescope control software included with every Celestron mount.

Unique Design: The smart dew protection controls are enclosed in a durable metal casing. A fan inside the unit keeps the electronics cool for optimal performance. The device’s status LEDs and environmental sensors are located on top of the unit for easy access and efficient cable management. Celestron has positioned the temperature and humidity sensors away from heat-generating components to ensure accurate readings—no additional cables are required for this precision.

The LED indicators on the control unit provide real-time status updates. They alert you if power consumption exceeds your power source's capacity or if your battery needs recharging. For use under dark skies, the LEDs can be dimmed to minimize light interference.

The system can be securely mounted using integrated Vixen-style prism clamps. Alternatively, you can attach it to a tripod leg using the included belt for added flexibility.
