This control system is perfectly suited for heated dew-prevention rings designed for Celestron SC telescopes, as these rings include an integrated thermistor (temperature sensor) that monitors the temperature of your Celestron SC, EdgeHD, or RASA Schmidt plate. Heated rings from other manufacturers are also compatible, but in such cases, you will need a temperature probe from the list of recommended accessories.

Intelligent Controls: At the core of this system is a powerful microprocessor that gathers data from sensors, processes it, and automatically adjusts the heating element. An integrated environmental sensor monitors ambient temperature and humidity, while temperature probes track the heating element’s temperature for precise control.

The dew protection control system can also function as a stand-alone accessory. If you wish to manually adjust settings after reviewing the control unit's data, you can connect it to your Celestron telescope's hand controller or PC. It is compatible with NexStar+ or StarSense hand controllers (with the latest firmware) and Celestron CPWI telescope control software included with every Celestron mount.

Unique Design: The smart dew protection controls are housed in a durable metal casing. Inside, a fan cools the electronics for reliable performance. The device’s status LEDs and environmental sensors are located on top of the unit for easy access and efficient cable management. Celestron has positioned the temperature and humidity sensors away from heat-generating components to ensure accurate readings—no extra cables required for this precision.

The LED indicators on the control unit provide real-time status updates. They alert you when power consumption exceeds your power source's capacity or when your battery needs recharging. For use under dark skies, the LEDs can be dimmed to minimize light interference.

The system is securely mounted using integrated Vixen-style prism clamps. Alternatively, you can attach it to a tripod leg using the included belt for added convenience.

4x Output Functionality: The control system features four output connections, allowing you to manage up to four heating elements simultaneously. For example, one connection can heat your telescope while others heat a secondary telescope, finderscope, guide sleeve, eyepiece, or additional accessories.

Additionally, there are four 12V DC outlets available to power various DC devices such as your mount, focusing motor, or camera. One of these outlets offers a variable output that can be adjusted between 3V and 12V. The system also includes three USB ports for added functionality.

USB 3.2 Hub: An integrated USB 3.2 hub allows you to connect three USB devices to your computer using just one cable, simplifying cable management. The three powered USB-A ports can be individually switched on or off via CPWI or Celestron hand-held controls.
