The LOA 21 Neutral Eyepiece is designed as a companion to one of the LOA 21 Deep Immersion 3D eyepieces. It matches the 21mm widefield eyepiece but does not include the array. By replacing the eyepiece with the array (identified by a threaded barrel and a bubble on the housing) with this Neutral eyepiece, you can achieve conventional views.
When used in pairs with the Binotron27, two LOA 21 Neutral eyepieces provide exceptional clarity and detail for serious lunar observation. While viewing the Moon with the 3D effect is entertaining and unique, Denkmeier recommends using two Neutral eyepieces for optimal performance during detailed lunar studies.
