Description

This optical accessory serves as both a field flattener and a focal reducer, significantly improving image quality for astrophotographers. The device addresses two key issues:

  1. Field Flattening: It corrects the slight curvature of the field produced by primary optics, ensuring stars remain sharp across the entire image, even at the edges.

  2. Focal Length Reduction: It reduces the focal length by a factor of 0.7x (at f/8) and 0.8x (at f/10), allowing for wider field views.

Key Features:

  • Originally designed for Explore Scientific 127mm and 152mm ED-APOs, but compatible with many systems

  • Installs between the telescope and camera

  • Comes with a 3" container for the telescope side

  • Includes an adapter for M54x0.75 focuser

  • Provides an M42x0.75mm T2 camera adapter

  • Includes a dust cap for protection
