The KERN OBS-1 series is a reliable and straightforward range of school microscopes designed for ease of use with intuitive control elements. These microscopes feature an infinitely dimmable 0.5W LED light source, ensuring optimal illumination of samples and a long service life. They are also suitable for mobile use, thanks to the option of rechargeable batteries. The OBS 101 model includes a simple 0.65 condenser lens with a rotating aperture diaphragm disc, while the OBS 104 and OBS 106 models are equipped with a height-adjustable 1.25 Abbe condenser with an aperture diaphragm for precise light concentration.

All models include coarse and fine focusing knobs on both sides for easy object focusing. The OBS 106 model also features a mechanical angle table for rapid sample movement. A wide selection of eyepieces and objectives is available to customize the microscope further. This series is also offered in sets of 10 for group use.
