Lunt Solar Systems Solar telescope ST 130/910 LS130MT Ha B1800 Allround OTA (84057)
A key feature of the LS130MT is its modular construction. The H-alpha Etalon filter can be quickly removed, transforming the telescope into a high-quality apochromatic refractor for night-time use. This allows for observation and photography of the Moon, planets, and deep-sky objects. The telescope uses a triplet lens design with ED (extra-low dispersion) glass, such as FPL-51 or FPL-53, which delivers excellent color correction and sharp, clear images.

Description
The Lunt LS130MT is a modular telescope designed for observing the Sun in H-alpha light, with a filter bandwidth of less than 0.7 Angstrom. It comes equipped with a B1200 or B1800 blocking filter for safe solar viewing.
The telescope is highly versatile and expandable. For additional solar observing options, you can use a Herschel wedge for white-light solar observation or replace the H-alpha filter with a Ca-K module to view different solar features. These accessories enhance the telescope’s capabilities for solar astronomy.
The LS130MT’s optics are of premium quality. With a 130mm aperture and 910mm focal length (f/7), the triplet apochromat lens provides a fast system that allows for high magnification and detailed views. This makes the telescope suitable for both solar and planetary observations.
Fine-tuning of the H-alpha filter is achieved with a PT pressure tuner. This system uses small changes in air pressure inside a chamber to adjust the refractive index, allowing precise and effortless tuning of the H-alpha spectral line. The pressure tuner ensures a uniform image and long-lasting performance of the Etalon filter.
The B1200 and B1800 blocking filters are ideal for visual solar observation. They can also be used for solar photography with cameras that have small or APS-C format sensors. For cameras with larger sensors, a bigger blocking filter is recommended to ensure the entire sensor is illuminated. For solar imaging, planetary cameras are generally suggested for best results.
When the H-alpha system is removed, the LS130MT functions as a high-end 130mm f/7 apochromatic refractor. It is compatible with standard 2-inch star diagonals and is suitable for both observing and photographing the night sky. The FPL-51 or FPL-53 glass ensures minimal chromatic aberration and high-quality images.
Additional features include a solid rack-and-pinion focuser with 10:1 fine adjustment, tube rings with a carrying handle, a Vixen-style dovetail bar for mounting, and a sturdy transport case. The telescope is also compatible with a range of accessories for both solar and night-time use.
