Lunt Solar Systems Solar telescope ST 50/350 LS50THa/B400PT (44940)

A front-mounted, unobstructed Etalon filter delivers a bandwidth of less than 0.75 Angstrom, allowing you to clearly observe solar prominences and surface features. Its lightweight and compact build make it an excellent choice for travel. The diagonal mirror includes a built-in blocking filter and is paired with a non-rotating helical focuser compatible with 1.25” eyepieces.

There are two versions of this model: one with a B400 blocking filter and another with a larger B600 blocking filter. The B600 version is referenced here, though the only visible difference is on its label.

For enhanced detail and contrast, double stacking is possible, reducing the bandwidth to less than 0.5 Angstrom. The LS50C Double Stack filter, designed specifically for this telescope, can be directly attached to the LS50THa for increased surface detail. Additionally, standard LS50FHa and LS60FHa double stack filters can also be used with the LS50THa when paired with the LS150/50 adapter.

PT Pressure Tuner:
The Etalon filter is fine-tuned using an air pressure system. Adjusting the air pressure inside a chamber within the telescope changes the refractive index of the air, allowing for precise and effortless tuning of the H-alpha spectral line. This system ensures a uniform image, no central obstruction, and a durable, long-lasting Etalon.
