Zoom Range

The SMZ-171 offers a 6.7:1 zoom ratio, providing a standard magnification range from 7.5x to 50x. The parfocal optical system maintains focus throughout the zoom range, eliminating the need for frequent adjustments. Auxiliary objectives and eyepieces can extend the total magnification range from 2.25X up to 200X.

Auxiliary Objectives

A standard working distance of 110 mm provides ample space for manipulating samples at various magnifications. The maximum field diameter at the lowest zoom setting with 10X eyepieces is 30.7 mm.

Eyepieces

Widefield 10x/23 mm eyepieces are designed for comfort, even for users wearing glasses, and feature individual diopter adjustments of +/- 5 dpt. Additional magnification options and measuring reticules are available for specialized tasks.

3-D Imaging

The Greenough optical system delivers fully separated optical paths, resulting in high-quality, distortion-free 3D images. The system achieves up to 460 lp/mm resolving power with a 2x auxiliary objective.

Working Distance

The standard working distance is 110 mm, which can be extended up to 301 mm with auxiliary objectives. For higher total magnification, combine objectives less than 1X with high-magnification eyepieces (up to 20x).
