Description

The Nikon SMZ445 and SMZ460 stereo zoom microscopes combine premium optical performance with a compact, lightweight design. Both models use Porro prisms to deliver clear, bright images, making them suitable for applications in education, biology, industry, university research, and marine biology. The SMZ445 features a zoom range of 0.8x to 3.5x (zoom ratio 4.4:1) with a 45° viewing angle, while the SMZ460 offers a zoom range of 0.7x to 3.0x (zoom ratio 4.3:1) with a 60° viewing angle. A long working distance of 100 mm provides ample space for specimen manipulation with tools such as tweezers or pipettes.

 

Outstanding Optical Performance
These microscopes use advanced optical design and multicoated lenses for high-quality images with excellent flatness, brightness, and contrast across the entire field of view.

 

Long Working Distance
A 100 mm working distance allows for safe and convenient focusing, even with uneven specimens, and provides plenty of space for using dissection tools or pipettes.

 

Versatile Eyepiece Options
Both models come with 10x eyepieces (field number 21). Optional 15x or 20x eyepieces are available for higher magnification. The SMZ445 can reach up to 70x magnification, and the SMZ460 up to 60x, when paired with auxiliary objectives and higher-power eyepieces.

 

Auxiliary Objectives for Greater Flexibility
Optional 0.5x and 0.7x auxiliary objective lenses allow for a wider field of view and longer working distances-up to 181 mm with the 0.5x lens and 127.5 mm with the 0.7x lens.

 

Mold-Resistant Construction
The zoom body is treated with a mold-resistant finish, ensuring lens quality even in warm, humid environments.

 

All-in-One LED Stand
Both incident (episcopic) and transmitted (diascopic) LED illumination are built into the stand, with individually adjustable light intensity. The LEDs are long-lasting and energy-efficient.
