Back-illuminated CMOS sensor
The back-illuminated design allows more light to reach the photosensitive layer by placing the wiring beneath it, increasing quantum efficiency and sensitivity for better performance in low-light conditions.
Global shutter
Unlike rolling shutters, the global shutter exposes the entire sensor area simultaneously, preventing image distortion and ensuring high image quality even with fast-moving objects or atmospheric turbulence.
Hardware binning
This camera supports true hardware (charge-domain) binning, similar to CCD cameras, which increases the signal-to-noise ratio without amplifying additional noise. Hardware binning also allows for significantly higher frame rates compared to digital binning.
